Robert Zellers has 30 years of experience in Educational Services. He was selected as the Director of IT Security for Cleveland Metropolitan School District in January 2017; he had worked in the district as a Network Administrator. Before beginning his career in Cleveland Metropolitan Schools he was employed as an IT Technical Support employee for General Electric World Headquarters supporting Lighting division employees around the world.
Mr. Zellers was a contributor in the creation of the State of Ohio Technology Standards in 2003 for the Ohio Department of Education, the standards where used until 2017. In 2003 Mr. Zellers was a recipient of the Northeast Ohio WVIZ PBS TV station Outstanding Educational Services Award (Betty Cope Award) for outstanding educational services provided by and educational employee in K-12 education, also the same year was named a Federal Grant Reviewer for the US Department of Education.
