Jeff G. Thomas is Vice President of Global Security at Prudential Financial and leads domestic and international security operations. In this role, Jeff identifies and executes strategies to minimize and respond to physical security risks impacting Prudential’s people, property and brand. Prior to joining Prudential in 2016, Jeff was Head of Global Security for Tyco International, responsible for leading the enterprise security function. Prior to Tyco, he served as Global Security Leader for General Electric’s (GE) Energy and Oil & Gas divisions. Before entering the private sector, Jeff spent 13 years in government service, completing his tenure as a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service’s Presidential Protective Division. Jeff is an active member of the U.S. Department of State’s Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) and American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS), a Steering Committee Member of the International Security Foundation (ISF), an Executive Committee Member of the Private Sector Advisory Group (PSAG), and Board of Trustees Member of the Newark Downtown District (NDD). Jeff earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology and political science from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree in security management from the University of Houston, Downtown.
